Russia beats Puerto Rico 75-66 at worlds

Sergey Monya led Russia with 16 points to a 75-66 win over Puerto Rico in its opening game at the world championship on Saturday. Timofey Mozgov, who joined the New York Nicks, and Sasha Kaun of CSKA Moscow added 13 points each. Russia led 14-8 after the first quarter and 36-34 at halftime before Puerto Rico hit the front 55-54 at the end of the third quarter.
